Welcome to jazzCenter. If you are a Jazz fan, answer this question: Have you ever sat and watched a Jazz game on National television and realized that the team the Jazz are playing, no matter who it is, is getting a lot of recognition and publicity? If so, then this site is for you. This will be a place for you to show your pride as a Jazz fan, and express frustrations and excitement for the team. As a follower you can send in pictures, take polls each week, throw out ideas about what the Jazz should do for the future. This will be a site to hopefully give the Jazz, a small market team in the NBA, the recognition they deserve. I hope you will also share this site with others who you know who are fans of the Utah Jazz.

Jazz vs Timberwolves

The Utah Jazz took on the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. The T-Wolves came into SLC just 1 night after beating the LA Clippers on a game winning 3 pointer by Kevin Love at the buzzer. The T-Wolves might have brought their cold weather from Minnesota with them to Utah, but there was no way of stopping the HOT Paul Millsap. Once again Paul Millasp had the job of playing against another top Power Forward. Although some would consider Kevin Love the best PF in the game today, he is playing the 2nd game of a back to back. Nobody can make any excuses for Kevin Love for this night. The last time the T-Wolves had a back-to-back they also lost, but Love scored 30 and had 13 rebounds. This time around, thanks to the defense of the Jazz, Kevin Love only had 15 pts and 8 rebounds, ending his streak of Double Doubles. Millsap on the other hand ended the game with 26 pts and 9 rebounds. Do I really need to say it's time for Millsap to get recognized? The last 3 games, Millsap has outplayed Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kevin Love. On ESPN Jon Barry named his top 5 power forwards in playing right now. When He named Millsap #4, Michael Wilbon, Chris Broussard, and Magic Johnson all laughed at his list.

I must now go and repent. From the beginning of the season, I have been telling my Dad and others that they need to trade Millsap. Dad, please forgive me.

Next game 1/25/12
Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors

  1. Millsap is top 6 in Efficiency Rating in the league right now. If he keeps this up how does he not make the all-star game.

If you had to win a playoff series right now, and had to choose either Paul Millsap or Blake Griffin who would you choose? Maybe this is slightly bias but I would honestly go with Millsap right now.

  2. I too at one point was saying that Millsap should be traded, and I now realize that was a silly thing to say. He is taring it up and it is time he gets recognized!

  3. Always been a fan of any athlete that works hard and puts their all on the floor. You could knock hom for not letting his body rest, but seriously...Milsap is a beast and is an All Star...he needs the Jazz Nation to vote for him.

  4. As my dad always asks "who's the best player in the NBA? and why did his mom name him Paul?" The answer to that question is Lebron James, and his name isn't Paul. Paul Millsap is awesome and definitely is an NBA All-Star, unfortunately he plays in a league where it took Deron Williams 5 years to make the All-Star game after it was so obvious that the league had no choice but to put him in over a player in a big market city. On some levels I like it when players on my team deserve to make the All-Star team and don't get put in because then they go a rampage and take it out on their opponents.

  5. Millsap can compete with anybody in the league just because he plays harder than any of them and he loves stepping up to the challenge. The guy has an uncanny ability to rebound the ball and is becoming a better scorer all the time. He forces it at times, but then again, with the lack of scorers on the Jazz, Millsap needs to take that upon himself more and more as the season goes on. We saw evidence of that last night vs. the Raptors. He needs some help from somebody else. He can't do it alone.
